Dr. Andrew Smyth graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006 from Dalhousie University, following his Bachelor of Health Science degree obtained at Acadia University in 2001. As a bilingual native of Edmundston, NB, he is pleased to offer dental services in his home province.
As the proud owner of York Dental Clinic since 2008, Dr. Smyth is committed to patient education and quality care. He provides support to the community of Fredericton as the President of the Fredericton Dental Society, as well as being an active member of the Board of Directors for the Fredericton Community Foundation, the Canadian Sleep Society, the New Brunswick Dental Society, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Smyth is also proud that York Dental Clinic is a business member of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce.
During his leisure time, Dr. Smyth enjoys spending quality family time with his wife, Dr. Cara Moran, a military dentist at Base Gagetown, and their children Daniel and Julia. Activities that he most enjoys are running the kids around to various activities such as hockey, soccer, skiing, and tennis. They spend most summer weekends in St. Martins.

Dr. Jim Roxborough, a native of Fredericton, received his early education in local schools and at the University of Brunswick, before graduating from Dalhousie University Dental School in 1976. In June of that year, he established his dental practice in the Chestnut Complex (formerly the Chestnut Canoe Factory). The office has over the years undergone changes and upgrades and today continues to offer high quality dental treatment in a modern setting at the new location on Bishop Drive.
He has been acive in the local and provincial dental organizations – sitting on many committees of both groups, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick Dental Society as well as President of that Society in 1987. In 2005, he was elected a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in recognition of services rendered to dentistry and the local community. He was awarded Honorary Membership in the New Brunswick Dental Society in 2012.
Dr. Roxborough is pleased to continue to provide treatment to patients as an associate dentist at York Dental Clinic.
Dr. Abby Barton graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017 from Dalhousie University. Abby was class Valedictorian and won many awards such as the 2017 Dr. Frank Woodbury Memorial Prize, 2017 Canadian Dental Association Student Leadership Award, and 2017 CFAO Dr. Norman Levine Undergraduate Student Award to name a few. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maine in 2010, while competing as a Division I athlete.
A native of Woodstock, Abby is excited to be returning to New Brunswick to start her dental career. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active.
Abby is dedicated to ensuring each and every patient has an enjoyable dental experience and was commended throughout her dental education for professional and compassionate treatment of her patient family.
Dr. Andrej Boban graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 from Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, Ontario. Originally from Waterloo, Ontario, Dr. Boban completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo in 2014. He was excited to move to Fredericton and has been greatly enjoying life on the East Coast.
Dr. Boban believes in the importance of effective communication with his patients and prides himself on being a good listener. A positive and caring experience at the dental office is something that Dr. Boban strives for with each patient. He enjoys all aspects of family dentistry and is committed to the high standards of York Dental Clinic.
Dr. Boban is a dog lover and greyhound enthusiast. He can often be sighted on the walking trails with his retired racing greyhound, Cedar. He has also played piano for 19 years and has composed a few of his own pieces.
Originally from Moncton, Michelle has been living in Fredericton for eight years. She achieved a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University, and also holds a bachelor’s degree from St Thomas University.
A member of the New Brunswick Dental Hygiene Association, as well as the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association, Michelle actively pursues continuing education opportunities. Michelle values the connection between oral health and overall health, and enjoys sharing this knowledge with others.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading, playing the piano, and learning to cook.
Amanda Morehouse was born and raised in Fredericton New Brunswick. She achieved a diploma in dental hygiene from Dalhousie University, and also successfully completed her bachelors degree from St. Thomas University.
Amanda is a member of the New Brunswick Dental Hygiene Association, as well as the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association. In her spare time she enjoys being with friends and family, going for walks across the bridges, and playing a friendly game of tennis.
Trudi is a native of Fredericton, who received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University in 1999. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick.
Trudi is a member of both the New Brunswick Dental Hygiene Association as well as the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association. She enjoys getting to know each and every one of her patients and providing them with the best care possible in achieving optical health.
In her spare time, she enjoying spending time with her family and friends, travelling and being active outdoors.
Amanda, who is happy to now be a permanent resident of Fredericton, was born and raised in Saint John, NB. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at St. Thomas University while playing varsity rugby. She then went on to Dalhousie University where she achieved her Diploma in Dental Hygiene with the Local Anesthetic Component.
Amanda is the Fredericton Component Representative for the New Brunswick Dental Hygienist Association for the 2017-2018 term. She is passionate about her interaction with patients and using the one-on-one time as a learning opportunity in order for patients to gain a greater understanding on how to improve their oral health and therefore, their overall health.
Amanda enjoys gym training, golf, tennis, spending time with her dog Winston, fiancé, family and friends. She has an interest in home decor projects and traveling!
Holly is a resident of Fredericton Junction, and is originally from Newfoundland. She is the mother of two young girls. Holly has been assisting for 8 years. She enjoys working the dental field, and enjoys spending time with her girls and their extra circular activities. Her favorite part of her job is meeting new patients and interacting with people.
Alysha was born and raised in Minto, N.B. She graduated from Oulton College in 2012 from the Dental Assisting program. Alysha feels the best part about her job is meeting new patients and providing them information to achieve great oral care. In her spare time, Alysha can be found scrapbooking, listening to her favourite music and spending time with family and friends.
Alesha graduated from Holland College in 1999 from the Dental Assistant program. She has two sons and one step-daughter. Alesha’s hobbies include all things outdoors, i.e. camping, hiking, boating and spending time with her family making memories.
What Alesha loves most about work is the patient interaction on a daily basis. She loves to learn new things, i.e. treatments, procedures/techniques to help improve patient care.
Kelcie is from Howland Ridge, NB. She graduated from the Dental Assistant program at Oulton College in 2012. Her favourite part of being a Dental Assistant is meeting new people and helping to succeed in their dental needs.

Krista graduated from the Academy of New Brunswick Dental Assisting program in 2002. Upon completion of her training, she returned to her hometown of Fredericton. Krista not only brings her experience in dental assisting to her role, but also many years of reception and administration skills. Krista spends her leisure time with her husband and children enjoying outdoor activities. She also likes to spend time reading which allows her quality time to relax.
Shauna was born and raised in Minto, New Brunswick and moved to Moncton with her family after graduating from high school. She returned to the Grand Lake area after spending 7 years in Moncton. Shauna enjoys the outdoors and especially spending time at the lake.
Shauna has built her career in office and administration roles in various work environments. She loves to meet new people and this is why Shauna finds her role as Receptionist at York Dental is the perfect fit for her.
Jessie lives in Fredericton, born and raised. She graduated in 2014 from the Dental and Medical Administrative Assistant program at Atlantic Business College. She has worked with the public for many years and thoroughly enjoys working with the public and helping people.
Jessie enjoys being on the go. She spends part of her spare time building a healthy lifestyle and loves being able to enjoy all outdoor activities with her friends. Her other love is being with her family, particularly at the family cottage, in the summer.
Ashley is from Rusagonis, New Brunswick. She graduated from the Dental and Medical Administrative Assistant program at Atlantic Business College in 2011. She loves meeting new patients, has extensive customer service experience and feels her position as receptionist is the perfect role for her.
Ashley has two young children, a son and a daughter. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and children camping, fishing and four wheeling.
Cathy is a New Brunswick native who has many years of Human Resources and leadership experience in the hospitality, information technology and telecommunications industries. She is new to dentistry and is enjoying the learning curve immensely and daily interactions with the talented team at York Dental. Cathy obtained her Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certificate in 2003 and has been a member of the Human Resources Association of New Brunswick (HRANB) since 1997.
Cathy is married to Bob and they have a musically talented, politically charged son, Jordan. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and at the mercy of Bob and Jordan, she likes to do whole house renovations. To truly relax, Cathy loves to be out on a back road riding her Harley Softail with her husband and friends.
