Soft Tissue Laser

The Odyssey Navigator utilizes the 810 nanometer wavelength, the proven diode technology in dental diode lasers.

The 810 nm wavelength has a high absorption rate for gingival soft tissue (hemoglobin and melanin) making it an invaluable tool for esthetic sculpting, accessibility, isolation and the healing of soft tissue.

Most commonly performed procedures performed with an Odyssey Diode Laser:

  • Gingivectomy, gingivoplasty
  • Soft tissue crown lengthening
  • Troughing for impressions or cementation
  • Creating emergence profile for ovate pontics
  • Recontouring of interproximal tissue
  • Implant exposure
  • Treating of aphtous ulcers, herpetic lesions
  • Biopsy and fibroma removal
  • Abscess care - incision and drainage
  • Hemostasis
  • Frenum release
  • Exposure of slow erupting teeth
  • Sealing lymphatics in surgical area
  • Reducing sulcular oral bacteria and other flora
  • Soft rissue curettage for periodontal treatment
  • Treating gingival hyperplasia
  • Operculectomy
